A Letter of Gratitude, by Ian Miller

Last year on June 12th, many of us remember struggling. Struggling to get through a global pandemic; trying to rediscover normalcy in our livelihoods and simply make it through another day. The entire world will remember the impact of COVID-19; because even after a year and a half, it still impacts us every day.

While COVID-19 was devastating the world on this day, I decided to open Miller Trial Law to serve as a beacon of hope for those in need.

After about a decade of working in insurance defense, I made the decision to focus my energy on representing people against the large insurance companies and corporations that attempt to take advantage of them and their families. Many would say a global pandemic would be the worst time to open a firm. Some even tried to talk me out of it. But I knew that I could not wait another day to step up and serve my community – and that I was blessed and well-equipped with the experience and skills to do just that. Drawing from my thirteen years of legal practice, I began the journey of opening a firm with a singular goal in mind: helping people get the justice they deserve.

We started last year with the pain and struggle expected when opening a new business during a pandemic. But it’s a new year. On this day, June 12th, 2021, I look back with immense gratitude as I reflect upon the positive impact we have made in so many lives. It’s been a year since I made the decision to push past all the hardships that the pandemic has thrown at us and do my part to serve the community the best way I know how: by creating a safe space for those who have been injured or lost a loved one. Since our founding, we’ve gone from a single-person operation to a thriving law firm with several employees, equipped with an experienced team that has recovered millions in damages. The more we’ve grown, the more people we’ve gotten to help every day. Today is a day of celebration, but most importantly, it’s a day of gratitude. A day to thank everyone who has helped bring me to this point and fostered the success of the firm.

To my family and friends, you are my biggest supporters. Thank you for motivating me to pursue my passion. I would not be in the fortunate position I currently am without all your support. You empower me to continue fighting the good fight.

To my hardworking employees and partner, thank you for your dedication and resilience. Your ingenuity, work-ethic and dedication to our mission is appreciated by me and the countless members of our community we have served this past year. I’m grateful to have such an amazing team by my side – I could not have done this without each of you.

Lastly, to my clients, past, present and future: Thank you for entrusting Miler Trial Law as your representative. Our team knows how difficult this time can be for you, and we thank you for your strength, endurance, and trust in our firm. We thank you for the opportunity to serve you and the community, and make sure that we continue to do our part, this year and for many years to come!

Sincerely,

Ian Miller
